On January 25 from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, CAHS will release our Annie E. Casey Kids Count Connecticut Data Book, Taking Stock: Considering the Future of Child Well-Being and Family Opportunity in Connecticut. The report analyzes data for indicators within four domains: economic well-being, education, health, and family & community.
While Connecticut is ranked 7th in the nation for overall child well-being according to the Annie E. Casey Foundation's national Kids Count Data Book, the disaggregated data presented in the Connecticut Data Book reveal rampant disparities by race and ethnicity, as well as by town.
The event will include two panels: the first featuring experts in various domains of child and family well-being, including the authors of the essays in the Data Book, and the second featuring Connecticut legislators.
Registration with a light breakfast will start at 9 am in the second-floor atrium preceding the event.
