CAHS 2004 Legislative Agenda | Research and Evaluation | Feedback

CAHS provides a variety of consulting services for local, state, and federal governments; service providers; and legislators. If you have a need for consulting and technical assistance services, CAHS has the resources to consult with you a variety of areas:

Research. CAHS is well-respected for its widely-disseminated research on the well-being of children in Connecticut, child care needs and services, health care, the impact of federal and state welfare reform, hunger, and other issues.

Technical assistance. CAHS has provided a range of technical assistance services, particularly in the areas of public health and educational policy and services. We develop these projects with a variety of federal, state, and local agencies, as well as nonprofit organizations.

Evaluation. CAHS has provided a variety of evaluation services, including the development of an innovative HIV Prevention Evaluation Bank for the State of Connecticut. This Evaluation Bank provides technical assistance on program evaluation to community-based organizations, the State of Connecticut, and the HIV Community Planning Group.

Advocacy and Mobilization. CAHS relies on the active support of a variety of its members and coalition partners in its advocacy and mobilization work. We staff and coordinate the Legislative Collaborative for Early Care and Education, Hartford Outreach Network and Early Care Alliance.
