KIDS COUNT

About KIDS COUNT
The Connecticut Association for Human Services is the Connecticut grantee for the Annie E. Casey Foundation's national KIDS COUNT initiative. KIDS COUNT is a collaborative project with the three-part goal of:

  • collecting, effectively presenting, and disseminating national, state and local data on the well-being of children in Connecticut;
  • using this data to galvanize public support for children and spur corrective action by state and local policymakers; and
  • providing decision-makers with alternatives that can help redress the problems identified.

In essence, KIDS COUNT is about creating an informed, strong voice for children and their families as Connecticut moves through the 21st Century. We provide reliable, comprehensive, timely information on how well Connecticut's children are doing at the state and local levels.
